Yesterday after a hard week of trying to get the Home Health Care people and the UCLA people to communicate with each other regarding Tony's blood test results, we went to UCLA Hemotology Clinic to have a blood transfusion. It was discovered during the transfusion that Tony had a temperature of close to 102 degrees, blood pressure of 90/54....and his white blood cell count was nil. Tony was admitted to UCLA medical center last evening.
Antibiotics were immediately administered and Tony is feeling better this morning. Not sure when he will come home, but we were told no earlier than Monday. Tony is going to try to convince the doctors to discharge him tomorrow. We shall see.
I grow more and more frustrated with the scheduling/procedures process each time Tony is discharged from the hospital. It seems I have to spend more and more time on the telephone advocating for my husband, because others are not doing their job(s).
It's been a difficult week watching Tony become weaker and weaker, while listening to nurses and P.A.'s tell me... "we haven't gotten a fax yet." Arrrgghhh! Simple secretarial work....a phone call, and Tony would have been getting treated on Monday. Instead it's Thursday and it's too late to keep him out of the hospital.
Please pray for all of us this week!!
Praying without ceasing.....

ReplyDeleteHebrew 13 (Amplified)
5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor ]let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! Assuredly not!
