Going Well..

Tony's second round of chemotherapy began late yesterday. The chemo agent Doxorubicin was administered and a heart monitor was hooked up in order to monitor Tony's heart. So far....all is well! I am looking at the orange colored Doxorubicin right now, and the bag is almost empty, while Tony's heart remains steady. This is a huge affirmative answer to prayer.
Tony's second round of chemo will take 6 days to complete.

Tony's appetite still remains strong, and he is eating 3 full meals with snacks and dessert each day. We are hoping he will be able to put some weight on, even through the treatment phase. We also pray that as the chemo destroys the cancer cells, the strength will return to his weak muscles. On Monday, the Head and Neck doctors will come in and assess Tony's swallowing problems and hopefully treat him, so that his voice and ability to swallow water will return to normal. In the meantime, Tony is walking 70 feet at a time, with the walker and doing 3 + hours of physical therapy per day.

" Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy One, give thanks because he's given Jesus Christ, His son" (Hymn)

  1. "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

    Love you both! xoxo

  2. Psalm 112 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

The LORD loves you, Tony! And HE will continue to show you compassion and be gracious to you! Our prayers continue for your healing and restoration.
